The just-launched BlackBerry PlayBook has earned mixed reviews, but it will have a strong constituency right off the bat in CrackBerry addicts, The current version must be tethered to a BlackBerry for 3G use. A 3G version will be available in late summer. For now, those who don’t have a BlackBerry, may only use it as a Wi-Fi device. The Boston Herald “wanted to like” the PlayBook, but calls it “an unfinished product.” PC Magazine says the iPad 2 is the “clear standout in the ever-widening sea of tablets,” PC Magazine, not me, gave the iPad 2 four-and-a-half stars out of five, the Motorola Xoom three-and-a-half stars and the PlayBook sits at two-and-a-half. I disagree. I’d rate the PlayBook ahead of the Xoom if you’re a BlackBerry user or if you wait for the 3G version. The PlayBook is like a rookie who’s not quite ready for the Big Leagues yet. By this summer it will be a budding star. And by next year, it could be an all-star. Will it ever manage to take the iPad’s position in the field? It ain’t over till it’s over. Video Rating: 4 / 5

Question by Raymond: Should i get a blackberry playbook.?
give me pros and cons please.
Best answer:
Answer by M Probably not. It has received terrible reviews. Also there is no native email app. You must have a blackberry phone with email setup and connected to the playbook for email to work. Not many apps for it and not much support behind it from the maker RIM. They have cut their support functions to a skeleton team so updates and bug fixes will be slow.
Pros. Cheaper than ipad and some other tablets
Looks cool.
Cons. Lack of support, first model from a company that is new to this tech.
