I am not sure much about iPad, to me, iPad is too big for me to carry around, but the PlayBook fells more portable to me.
If you only have a Mac, you can connect your PlayBook to your computer to do drag and drop pictures, videos, music, podcast, and etc. from the PlayBook default folder icon of your Mac.
If you want to use BBM you would have to have a BlackBerry SmartPhone and to bridge your smartphone to the PlayBook in order to see your BBM on the PlayBook.
You would have to make sure that you have the latest version of PlayBook, BBM, and the SmartPhone.

No jailbreak software for iPad2 yet
IPad2 owners are anxiously scanning the blogs and forums for the public distribution of jailbreak software for iPad2 on 4.3 but unfortunately this has not yet come to pass. There was jailbreak software developed in March 2011 for iPad 2 on iOS 4.3, courtesy of “Spirit” jailbreak software by Comex, but it can’t be made available to the public just yet because it has to include the Apple code. IPad2 owners who have upgraded to higher than iOS 4.3 will just have to wait until the jailbreakers can come to the rescue with a legal jailbreak software distribution for iOS 4.3 and higher. Until then, the advice is for iPad users with iOS 4.3 to refrain from upgrading their software so that if and when the jailbreak software can be released to the public, they have a better chance of getting their iPad2 jailbroken.
Guesstimates on iPad2 jailbreak software are off the mark
Speculation has been rife since jailbreak software developers have been besieged by requests for an estimated time of arrival for the iPad 2 jailbreak software, but the best guess estimates thus misquoted have only paved the way for unscrupulous outfits to claim to be able to jailbreak the iPad2. There is no jailbreak software yet available to the public, and when it does become available, it will most probably be for free. But iPad2 users will just have to be patient as all things will come to pass.
Apple has been vigorous about patching the hole in the iPad2′s code which allowed the top jailbreakers to develop an initial jailbreak software for the iPad2. The untethered jailbreak software release is thus compatible for all iDevices on 4.3.x, including the original iPad, but not for the iPad2. iPhone Dev Team’s MuscleNerd reiterates the warning to iPad2 users that the jailbreak software for iOS 4.3 could be months down the road, rather than the weeks they were hoping for. Official iPad2 apps available, so no urgent need for a jailbreak software
But there’s no need to despair. The iPad2 has quite a few improvements over the original iPad, including a dual camera and longer battery life, and Apple claims to have 65,000 apps available for the Ipad2, so perhaps the best thing to do at this point is to forget about the jailbreak software and take advantage of the apps that are officially available for the iPad 2. That’s not to say that jailbreakers should be discouraged from developing the jailbreak software for the iPad2. But until that happens, the world doesn’t have to end in the absence of an iOS 4.3 jailbreak software for iPad2.
